Twining, usually a rug, involves creating a fabric piece by interlacing strands of yarn or thread in a pattern. This technique can produce beautiful textures and designs. You may still have some of your grandmothers! Typically, leftover or recycled fabric is used. The frames are simple easy to make and inexpensive to buy. We’ll start on a small loom just so you can get the feel of things.
